Dealing with our Personal Anger

Anger expresses itself in a variety of ways.  One person may scream, say nasty things, or slam doors, hit walls.  Another may become violent, trying to hurt themselves or someone else. Yet another person may direct their anger inward and become depressed, Many people who are angry at one person (their boss) direct their anger toward someone else (the sales clerk in a store) who has nothing to do with the cause of their anger.

Frequently an event in the present (a child spills something on the rug) will cause us to react with rage far beyond what is warranted by the accident. We vow to ourselves time and again that we will not overreact, and yet we cannot control our outbursts.  Many times this is because something in the present situation is unconsciously reminding us of a past event. The pain, anger, hurt,  and confusion of the past suddenly comes hurtling forward into the present moment, unleashed on the unsuspecting child or adult who triggered it.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in all of its forms is particularly well suited to being healed using recently discovered methods of treatment.

Neuro Linguistic Programming is a science dedicated to understanding the conscious and unconscious programming we all have.  Once we are clear about how a person is programmed, then we simply help them to change that programming so they  response differently.

Emotional Freedom Techniques are used to reduce the pain caused by past events.  It is especially useful in quickly reducing the pain from childhood and adult abuse.

We have a great deal of experience in helping people reduce their anger, enabling them to be more successful in relationships, family life and their work.

Give us a call at 303-369-8877 to discuss your concerns. There is no charge for a fifteen minute initial evaluation discussion on the phone.
