Attention Deficit Hyperactive
Disorder (ADHD)
Some children, adolescents, and adults
have difficulty concentrating on one subject. Their minds race ahead,
jumping from one idea to another. They often are very active and find it
difficult to sit still for more than a few minutes at a time. They usually
have difficulty learning in traditional educational settings.
Psychologists usually diagnose children with these symptoms as
having Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).
(Formerly called Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
Usually they recommend medication for the children. In the mid 1990's, one-third of the boys in public
schools in Georgia were on medication because they had been diagnosed with
this disorder. This condition is considered by many mental
health professionals and physicians to be permanent. Parents who
do not wish to have their children labeled with this diagnosis and forced to
take medication must exercise patience and determination when working with
school systems on this issue.
Television, video games and diet often play a
part in the development of this condition.
We have found NLP and EFT very effective
in treating these conditions without medication.
